Range — Baby and mother

Mother and baby care manufacturing in Tunisia

Baby care manufacturing: care, bathing and changing for babies, care for mothers-to-be and new mothers. All the ranges are manufactured on our site in Tunisia, with our own equipment.

The range

Two audiences, the same safety requirement.

A baby and mother range addresses two audiences with distinct needs: the infant, for bathing, changing and everyday care, and the pregnant woman or new mother, with belly care, nursing balm and body cream. Before fixing the list of products, the brand specifies for each one the use, the area of application and the target age: these three choices then guide the ingredients, the texture and the label statements.

For children under three, the European framework weighs from the development stage: a safety assessment specific to this age, monitoring of microbiological quality, regulated substances and precautions for use (details below). An oleo-calcareous liniment, a nappy cream or a cleansing water is therefore not designed as a simple variant of an adult care product: the preservation system, any fragrance and the container are decided according to these requirements.

We manufacture the entire range in our laboratory in Tunisia and prepare, for each product, the product information file and the CPNP notification. Our advice: start with one or two well-positioned products, for example a nappy cream and a body and hair wash gel, then expand based on customer feedback. And only order the bottles or tubes once their compatibility with the formula has been validated.

Cosmetic product information file (PIF): contents, retention period and the manufacturer’s role

The cosmetic product information file (PIF) is the file the Responsible Person keeps for every product placed on the EU market, under Article 11 of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. It includes the product description and the safety report, and is kept for ten years after the last batch. The laboratory supplies the manufacturing elements; the Responsible Person established in the EU, whether the brand or a designated third party, remains responsible for the complete file. Cosmetic products regulation in Tunisia: the essentials, with evidence

In Tunisia, the requirements applying to a cosmetic product must be confirmed in writing with the competent authority and INNORPI, as public sources describe few specific rules. Some cosmetics also bear a consumption duty on top of VAT. To sell in the European Union, Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 applies in full: a Responsible Person established in the EU, a PIF (Product Information File), CPNP notification and compliant labelling.
