Cosmetic filling and packaging in Tunisia

Cosmetic filling and packaging give your formula its retail form: filling, closing, labelling and boxing, carried out in our laboratory in Tunisia. Container and label are validated before production, to avoid unpleasant surprises.

Precision filling

Every texture calls for its own technique.

Our filling and packaging lines are designed to handle every cosmetic texture: fluid or thick emulsions, clear gels, limpid oils, two-phase serums, hot-poured balms, loose powders, pressurised sprays. Each texture is filled with a suitable nozzle and flow rate, at a weight controlled to a tenth of a gram.

Our volumetric and gravimetric machines allow runs from a few hundred to several tens of thousands of units per batch. Filling parameters are validated at the start of production, then monitored continuously.

For sensitive formulas (retinol, vitamin C, probiotics), we fill under an inert atmosphere or in an airless system in order to preserve the activity of the active ingredients until the consumer’s first use.

Each label complies with the regulatory requirements of the target market: mandatory information (INCI, date of minimum durability, PAO, content, batch number, Responsible Person’s address), translations, Ecocert / vegan symbols, barcode and traceability QR code.

Final quality control

No unit leaves the laboratory without approval.

Before shipping, each batch undergoes a final quality control: average weight, tightness of the packaging, legibility of the batch / date of minimum durability marking, compliance of the label, aesthetic appearance, absence of scratches or visible defects. A sample of each batch is archived for the lifetime of the product.

Traceability is complete: each finished product can be traced back to its raw material batch, its manufacturing date, its operator, its process parameters and its quality controls. In the event of a complaint, the complete history is available within 24 hours.

Validate the formula–container pairing before ordering

It is the advice we often repeat: do not order your bottles before checking their compatibility with the formula. A container must protect the product, dispense its texture properly and withstand transport. Airless suits certain formulas, without being the default choice. It is better to test the formula–container pairing before placing the whole order. For a brand starting from scratch, this choice is part of our brand development support.

Cosmetic filling, packaging and labelling: what Article 19 requires

Article 19 of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 (new tab) requires “indelible, easily legible and visible lettering” on the container and the packaging. The list of ingredients may, however, appear on the packaging alone, and not on the container. When space is lacking, it goes on an enclosed leaflet, label or card, referred to by a symbol.

Finally, Article 13 requires the original labelling and a photograph of the packaging to be notified when the product is placed on the market: the label must therefore be finalised at that stage. We prepare this CPNP notification.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I supply my own bottles or jars?

It is possible, subject to assessment: we first check the compatibility between your formula and your container.

In which language should the label of a product sold abroad be written?

In the European Union, Article 19 refers to the law of the Member State where the product is made available to the end user: nominal content, date of minimum durability, precautions for use and the function of the product follow this rule. The list of ingredients, for its part, uses the common ingredient names (INCI). Plan your countries of sale from the design of the label onwards.

What if the packaging is too small for all the required information?

For the precautions for use and the list of ingredients, the Regulation allows a leaflet, label, tape or card enclosed with or attached to the product, referred to by a symbol on the packaging. For soap, bath balls and other small products, like those of our hygiene and bath range, the list may appear on a notice placed in immediate proximity to the product.

Who is answerable for the information on the label?

The Responsible Person: Article 5 of the Regulation entrusts them with compliance with paragraphs 1, 2 and 5 of Article 19. Our team prepares the labels with you according to these requirements, but the legal responsibility remains that of the designated Responsible Person. Our article on cosmetics regulation in Tunisia completes this point for the Tunisian market.
