Hydrosols and floral waters in private label

A private label hydrosol is sold pure, as a mist or a toner, or serves as a base for your creams and gels. We offer rose, orange blossom and witch hazel hydrosols, filled and packaged under your brand in our laboratory in Tunisia.

Floral water — or hydrosol — is the aromatic soul of the plant, captured by slow steam distillation. Loaded with water-soluble aromatic molecules, it soothes, tones and gently fragrances, without alcohol or harshness. It is the oldest care ritual of the Mediterranean tradition, brought up to date by clean cosmetics.

Oppenheimer Lab selects high-quality hydrosols — rose, orange blossom and witch hazel — and shapes them for your brand: face mists, toning lotions, treatment waters, formulation bases. Purity, traceability and microbiological stability are at the heart of our expertise.

Private label hydrosol: crystal-clear floral water poured over rose petals and orange blossoms

01

The distilling tradition serving modern care

Tunisia has a centuries-old heritage of orange blossom and rose distillation. We draw on this terroir to source concentrated hydrosols, obtained by slow distillation that preserves all the aromatic fractions. Each batch is checked: pH, density, olfactory profile, microbiological load.

Our floral waters contain no added alcohol, no synthetic fragrance and no unnecessary preservative. When reinforced preservation is necessary, we use gentle systems validated for sensitive skin.

02

A versatile raw material

Sold pure as a mist, floral water is a fast-moving finished product. But it is also a remarkable formulation base: it advantageously replaces water in your creams, gels and lotions, so that you can claim a high percentage of active ingredients and ingredients of natural origin.

We also develop enriched treatment waters — hydrosol + hyaluronic acid, hydrosol + niacinamide — which position your range between the classic lotion and the serum.

03

Packaging and marketing

Fine misters, glass or PET bottles, travel sizes: we fill and package your floral waters in the packaging that matches your positioning, with labelling and marking handled in our workshop in Tunisia. Formula-container compatibility tests are carried out systematically.

Building a private label hydrosol offer

Our floral water offer is based on three hydrosols: rose, orange blossom and witch hazel. The first decision concerns the sales format: mist, toning lotion, enriched treatment water or ingredient of another formula. This choice sets the label, the container and the promise.

An existing hydrosol falls under private label, i.e. 45 to 90 days. A treatment water enriched with an active requires more work; for an exclusive recipe, see our custom formulation.

Mist, bottle or travel size: deciding on the container

The dispensing system guides the use: a fine mister for a face mist, a classic bottle for a toner. Glass or PET, large size or travel size: each option is validated with the formula before you order your containers. Labelling then takes place on our site.

The hydrosol naturally has its place in natural and organic cosmetics; it can also serve as the aqueous phase of an oil serum or of a cream.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How is a hydrosol named in the list of ingredients?

By its common name: Article 19 of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 (new tab) requires the common ingredient name “set out in the glossary provided for in Article 33” and, failing that, a term from a generally accepted nomenclature. The sales name can remain “rose water”; the list, however, follows this rule. We write it together with the product information file.

Can I sell a pure hydrosol under my brand, without reformulating it?

Yes: you choose the hydrosol, the format and the design, we handle filling and labelling. It remains a cosmetic like any other, with a product information file, a safety assessment and, for the European Union, a CPNP notification. See our article on cosmetic regulations in Tunisia.

From what quantity can I order a hydrosol mist?

Small batches possible: from 200 units, or even 100 depending on the project, subject to assessment. The price depends on the product, the actives and the packaging: free quote, reply within 48 hours. If you are hesitating between a mister and a travel bottle, ask for a quote for both.

Should all three hydrosols be launched from the start?

It is not necessary. Starting with a single floral water leaves budget to make it known. Rose and orange blossom draw on an ancient distillation tradition in Tunisia, a story that is easy to tell; witch hazel can join the range later, depending on your customer feedback.
